Ashley and Jeff’s Detroit Elopement was a wonderful highlight of 2020. During Covid, Ashley and Jeff were unsure of what to do about their wedding plans. Like many other couples in 2020, they decided to elope with just the two of them and celebrate their love!

Luxurious Shinola Hotel

A silver lining of COVID is that we got to design florals for many more intimate weddings. It really forced everyone to slow down and really think about what is important to them. For Ashley and Jeff, it was tying the knot in a gorgeous hotel, wearing a stunning wedding dress, and beautiful classic white flowers.

The Shinola Hotel is a boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Detroit. This luxury hotel has a curated, timeless style that was just what they were looking for.

Floral Design for Detroit Elopement Wedding

Without needing to budget for a 100+ person wedding, elopements allow you to splurge on items you may have skipped on if you were having a big wedding. For Ashley, we designed a lush, garden-style bridal bouquet filled with ranunculus, alabaster garden roses, and orlaya! These were the only flowers she needed for her day!

In the best elopement fashion, Ashley and Jeff made the most of their day by video chatting with family and friends. They cruised on bicycles around Detroit and had so much fun on their wedding day. I love when Ashley put her bouquet in the bike basket! The joy expressed in these photos captures their love so beautifully.

Ashley was one of the sweetest brides! She was so thoughtful and gifted our studio a six-pack of beer and homemade cheese with pretzels! These special thoughtful things for our clients truly make our day!
