Lindsay and Thomas came to me with a unique color palette in mind for their outdoor summer wedding – rust, burgundy, and champagne! This is a color palette generally see in the fall. Therefore, I was thrilled to mix it up and use these colors for an outdoor summer wedding.
Floral Design for Great Lakes Michigan Summer Wedding
I couldn’t wait to get started helping this sweet couple with their floral design. One of my favorite things we created was the custom tall floral pillars filled with different colored roses and greenery. We placed it in front of an ivy-colored wall concrete wall at the pavilion. We wanted to highlight the natural greenery in the background, without being too distracting.
Unique Color Palette for a Summer Outdoor Wedding
This couple did a wonderful job making sure all of their floral designs and bridal party outfits coordinated. The groomsmen wore matching rich, burgundy suits. The gorgeous bridesmaids wore simple satin champagne dresses that tied everything together and helped the flowers pop.
We designed the bridal bouquet and bridesmaid bouquets to be very similar. We used softer white and pink roses with red roses to bring out the burgundy color. Lindsay wanted a similar design for all of her centerpieces as well.
I love when couples come to me with unique ideas. You don’t have to stick with a specific color theme for a time of year. The beauty of planning your wedding is that your vendors can help bring your vision to life!
