Our bride, Morgan, dreamed up a really bold color choice – tangerine!! Morgan and Alex came to me as they were planning their wedding to be married at 2Gather in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The elegant venue is the perfect backdrop for a bold floral design. I couldn’t wait to get started on this design!
Tangerine Wedding Flowers at 2Gather Auburn Hills
The venue has beautiful Edison bulbs that suspend from the ceiling – so we had an industrial, yet modern twist on her design. I think tangerine would intimidate a lot of people, but designing with such a vivid palette turned out to be so much fun and elegant.
Morgan personally purchased lots of orange glasses for her guest tablescapes, as well as the gold hoops for her ceremony flowers. We got creative and used garden-inspired compote bowls for their guest tables and filled them with flowers. The copper-accented compote bowls accented the venue perfectly!
Trusting Your Floral Designer
We all love trendy color palettes and simple, beautiful flowers but don’t be afraid to step outside of the box. My advice for couples, be inspired by COLOR! Be bold with your color palette choices. When you trust your floral designer to execute your colors and design, it can turn out better than you ever imagined.
