Gabriella and Matthew are two of the sweetest people on earth! They came to me to design the florals for their luxurious wedding at Castle Farms in Charlevoix in Northern Michigan. When we met with Gabrielle for her initial consultation, she discussed her dreams and vision for flowers for her destination wedding. We couldn’t wait to bring this to life!
Classic Color Palette for Castle Farms Wedding
Together we dreamt up a classic color palette of rich burgundy tones, with navy, blush, and ivory accents – perfect for a September wedding. Castle Farms has incredible lush gardens with regal stone-featured rooms and arched cathedral windows. We wanted the florals to compliment the castle environment and not take away from the elegant beauty of the venue.
We used the season’s best dahlias for this September wedding – many of the stems were grown locally right here in Michigan!
Floral Bouquets for Northern Michigan Wedding
A garden-style inspired Gabriella and Matthew’s wedding centerpieces, boutonnieres for the groomsmen as well as all of the bouquets for the bride and bridesmaid! You will see that we did two large arrangements for the ceremony – but that was it! The space did not need lots of flowers to look beautiful and elegant. While planning, we noted that the reception area had lots of white space. We wanted the tables to have pops of color to tie together the fall-themed, classic color palette.
We loved designing for this sweet couple for their destination wedding! Their love for one another radiates in these beautiful images from their September wedding day!
